Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple
- Thiruparankundram is the first of the Arupadai Veedu temples° of Lord Muruga
- It is the wedding place of Lord Murugan and Sri Devasena
- Muruga graces in His ‘Thirumanakolam’ (wedded form) with Sri Devasena and sage Narada
- There are shrines for Lord Shiva, Devi Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu & Durga Devi
- Lord Brahma is also seen along with His consorts
- The wedding is said to have taken place in the presence of the Sun & the Moon (Surya - Chandra Sakshi)
- Since the divine wedding was attended by all the deities, devas, & sages, this temple is said to be very holy like Mt.Kailash

- Abhisheka is performed only to Lord Muruga's Vel (lance)
- Durga Devi perfomed penance here after killing Mahishasur
- Lord Garuda is seen in a standing position
